Positano: the pearl of the Amalfi Coast

The car will leave you at Piazza dei Mulini, that is connected with a narrow downhill path that leads you to the sea front, since the only way to reach the restaurants (that offer fresh daily fish) situated on the beach, is to go on foot! These streets also lead to the Cathedral, ceramic shops, fruit vendors, and apparel retail shops.

Positano is alive at night as well, with exotic nightclubs such as “Music on the Rocks” and various bars and cafes that remain open until the sun comes up. Once we finish our tour around Positano, we continue our journey to Amalfi. Passing through Praiano, a small fishing village, after around 15 minutes we arrive at Conca dei Marini where you also can visit the Emerald Grotto.

Amalfi is Surrounded by the stunning scenery

Just a few more minutes after Conca dei Marini and we reach Amalfi. This coastal town is situated on a seafront port and a long stretch of pebbled beach. In the square lies the famous Cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew and the main shopping street of Amalfi. Ravello, the historically town, main destination for artists, musicians, and writers. Our tour ends in Ravello with a visit to Villa Rufolo, dating back to the 17th century, which inspired Wagner in the composition of his masterpiece “Parsifal”. Concerts are held in the Villa till to this day. Before leaving make sure to not miss the gorgeous Villa Cimbrone: a noble palace with an Arabian style cloister, magnificent gardens and a terrace with a unique landscape called “Terrace of Infinity” from where it’s possible to marvel the magnificent view of the Bay of Salerno.
